                                    149The Brothel Amongst The Starsnight. She had been with him when a list came through to the computer. It named soldiers that should not be killed but must be enabled to have free sexual interaction with the women of all the brothels in the city. Plum said it was likely the solders were the troops sent to hunt him and his people down. He agreed and saw the list was of a number greater than his small army, which now numbered seventy fighting men and women. Of these, around forty were battle-experienced awardwinning male and females. Kyle was a born strategist too. He realised the communication contained a date and an arrival time. That was exactly what he needed to work out with Plum, not only a way to beat them, but to get a ship for all his people to escape in.They were about to seize the space-port. His plan was to kill the incoming soldiers, seize the ship, and while a contingent of his men held the ship and the port for two days, the rest of his army would go on a series of raids on the banks and casinos, and steal the gold. They would withdraw their gold from their %u2018acquired%u2019 account first, using some of it to purchase all the things they might need to start a settlement on a world far from their warring nations%u2019 reach.Everyone was in their planned positions. The port was only lightly guarded private soldiers. His men could not use personal communicators to synchronise their activities. If the transmissions were detected, the port would issue a distress signal and that would mean the ship carrying the assassination army would be diverted or retracted and a larger armed force would be despatched. Kyle and his soldiers would use torches with their lenses covered in coloured semi-opaque cellulose. Each memorised a set of long and short flashes in a rearranged set of orders and commands.Kyle along with Norman, Plum, and a handful of male and female soldiers were to capture and take over the control tower, the %u2018brain%u2019 of
