She turned to Kyle and said in a throataccented voice, %u201cI can disable them.%u201dKyle looked at her and nodded.He watched as she went to the first one, lifted her head back, and gargled. She threw her head forward and let loose with a large dollop of sticky liquid from her mouth. It covered the button and part of the desk around it. As she moved to the next one, the liquid over the button rapidly hardened until it looked like hammered steel. Kyle walked over and felt it. The coating was as hard as metal.He waited, ignoring the announcements of urgency coming through the speakers from ships wanting to land, until all the buttons were disabled. Stunned people on the floor were trying to stand up.%u201cOkay, do your work,%u201d Kyle told them and turned to his own soldiers. %u201cStand beside them. If anyone attempts to give a vocal distress call, set them alight.%u201dHe had said it loud enough for everyone to hear. He then added, %u201cDo your jobs and only that, and then none of you need to suffer such a painful death as I gave to your colleague.%u201dHe went up to the pretty woman and asked, %u201cWhat%u2019s your name?%u201dShe seemed in shock.%u201cYou didn%u2019t kill her,%u201d Kyle said. %u201cI did. It was without fear, driven by anger and injustice. She stepped forward and beat his chests with her fists. Kyle stood calmly, letting her exhaust her anger.
