285Most people no longer believe in the existence of The Devil. The Vikings had Hel, The Buddhists had/have Mara, The Mayans had Cizin, the Greeks had Hades, the ancient Brazilians had Tau, the ancient Egyptians had Osiris, Anubis, Thoth, and Ammit, the Maori had Whiro, and the Mongolian tribes had Erlik Khan. The English and the Western cultures had Satan. The fact that people no longer believe one or all of these demons no longer exist doesn%u2019t mean he doesn%u2019t. He just might not be in the visible form so often depicted in human artists%u2019 visualisations of him or her. For example, he or she (it?) might be that little sixteen year old school girl who lures a teacher to have sex with her in a cupboard off to the side of an empty classroom; mysteriously coincidental that it was precisely at the arranged time the school head, a male, was to meet the head of science, a female named Edith, there for a quickie; or it could be the Catholic priest who built a choir and spent more time caning and fucking his faithful young flock anally, then he did practicing hymnsinging with them.It might be that he, Satan, Cizin, or Erlik, takes many forms. And if he is so invisible and does his work in plain sight, then what caused a woman to join conversation with a nun to learn how to be a servant of God, only to find out it meant prostituting herself; and she learnt much but in the end, she rebelled and left. And is it the Devil%u2019s work that causes a man to drive into a crowd of people and slay them in the name of his God? Is it Satan that causes wheels to slip in road traffic accidents, and turns teachers and other people in positions of trust into paedophiles? The Devil Drops ByChapter 1: Jasmine
